Mantoulidis Etymological

ὁ (=πέτρα). Ἀρχικά ἦταν λᾶϝας. Ἔχει σχέση μέ τά: λεύς (δωρ. τύπος ἀντί λᾶας), λεύω (=πετροβολῶ), λεύσιμος. Ἀπό τό λᾶας παράγωγα: λᾶϊγξ (=λιθάρι), λάινος (=πέτρινος), λατόμος.
