O. 62); auch wie ein adj. mit einem substant. verbunden, θεαὶ Νύμφαι 24, 615; θεὰ δέ με γείνατο μήτηρ 21, 109; Ggstz γυνή, θεᾶς ἔρος οὐδὲ γυναικός 14, 315; – αἱ σεμναὶ θεαί hießen in Athen die Erinyen, Soph. O. C. 458 Ar. Th. 224 Plut. Sol. 12; – τὰ θεά sind immer Demeter u. Persephone, die auch αἱ μεγάλαι θεαί heißen, Soph. O. C. 689. [Obwohl α lang ist, wird es ion. u. ep. doch nie in η verwandelt, nur sp. D. haben θεή, Callim. Dian. 119, θεῆς, Ap. Rh. 3, 252. 4, 241, θεῇ, 3, 549. In πότνια θεά wird es einsylbig durch Synizesis, Od. 5, 215. 13, 391. 20, 61, wenn nicht πότνα zu lesen, wie auch Eur. Andr. 978.
