   A high-crested, Αἴτνα Pi.O.13.111; θυρίδες AP5.152 (Asclep.); v. l. in Ar.Ra.818 (hex.) for ἱππολόφων; in Hp.Ep.16 the best codd. have ὑψηλόλοφος (v.l. ὑψήλοφος).

ὑψίλοφος: -ον, ὁ ἔχων ὑψηλὸν λόφον, Αἴτνα Πινδ. Ο. 13. 159· θυρίδες Ἀνθ. Παλ. 5. 153· οὕτως ἀναγινώσκεται ὑπὸ τοῦ Σχολ. ἐν Ἀριστοφ. Βατρ. 818 ἀντὶ ἱππολόφων· τὸ παρ’ Ἱππ. 1278. 38, ὑψήλοφος φαίνεται ὅτι εἶναι πλημμελές.
