Ubi idem et maximus et honestissimus amor est, aliquando praestat morte jungi, quam vita distrahi → Where indeed the greatest and most honourable love exists, it is much better to be joined by death, than separated by life.

A one must abstain from, τινός X.Mem.1.2.34; τροφῆς Porph.Abst.1.38, etc.; one must leave alone, τινός Gal. 17(2).359: so in pl. ἀφεκτ-τέα, Ar.Lys.124; cf. ἀποσχετέον.
