ἀνάμβᾰτος: -ον, ἐπὶ ἵππου μὴ ἔχοντος ἱππέα, τούτους οὖν (τοὺς ἵππους) εἰ μὲν ἐάσωμεν ἀναμβάτους, ἄνευ ἀναβάτου, Ξεν. Κύρ. 4. 5, 46. ― Ἐν τοῖς λεξικοῖς προστίθεται καὶ ἡ σημασία, «ὁ μὴ ἀμβατός, ὃν δὲν δύναταί τις νὰ ἀναβῇ, ἀδάμαστος», ἀλλ’ ἄνευ μαρτυρίας.
