A Oenoë, name of two Attic demes, 1 of the φυλὴ Ἱπποθοωντίς, on the Boeot. frontier near Eleutherae, Hdt.5.74, Th.2.18, Str.8.6.16 (Οἰνώνη codd.). 2 of the φυλὴ Αἰαντίς, near Marathon ; Οἰνόη or Οἰναῖοι τὴν χαράδραν, prov. of self-inflicted ruin, Zen.5.29, Hsch. : loc. pl. Οἰνόησι IG12.845.5. II Adj. Οἰναῖος, belonging to one of these demes, ib.22.99,1623.5, 1926.130, etc. ; also Οἰνοαῖος SIG541A3 (Delph., iii B. C.).
