spend, use up (money, etc.): P. and V. ἀναλίσκειν, P. καταχρῆσθαι.
pass (time, etc.): P. and V. διάγειν, τρίβειν, Ar. and P. κατατρίβειν; see spend.
eat, devour: P. and V. ἐσθίειν, κατεσθίειν (Euripides, Cyclops 341), P. καταβιβρώσκειν, V. δάπτειν, βιβρώσκειν, Ar. and V. βρύκειν, Ar. δαρδάπτειν.
wear out: P. and V. τρίβειν, Ar. and P. κατατρίβειν, ἀποκναίειν, Ar. and V. τείρειν.
