To Lith. kuõdas crown of the head, bush of feathers (by Prellwitz wrongly compared with κώδεια) s. Fraenkel Wb. s. kuodẽlis. - Fur. 195, 198 Pre-Greek because of the variants; he compares words for cup, e.g. κώδων closk (s. v.), Etr. qutum. Cf.
