λύγη: ἡ, σκιόφως, λυκόφως, μνημονεύεται ὑπὸ τῶν Γραμμ. ὡς ῥίζα τῶν λ. ἠλύγη, ἠλυγάζω, ἐπηλυγάζω, ἀλλὰ πιθανῶς οὐδαμοῦ ἐν χρήσει· διότι ἐν Ἀππ. Ἰλλυρ. 25, αὐγὴ εἶναι ἡ ἀληθὴς γραφή. (Δυνατὸν νὰ συγγενεύῃ πρὸς τὸ *λύκη, Λατ. lux, ὡς τὸ Σκωτικὸν gloaming σκιόφως πρὸς τὸ gleam, ὡς τὸ Ἀγγλικὸν looming to πρὸς τὸ Ἀρχ. Σκανδιν. ljóma, Ἀγγλο-Σαξον. leomane· πρβλ. λυκόφως).
