Hal. u. a. Sp.; vgl. auch Thuc. 4, 60. – 4) bes. bei Gramm. das nomen im Ggstz von ῥῆμα, verbum, auch im engeren Sinne Eigenname im Ggstz von προσηγορία, nomen appellativum (s. unter ῥῆμα). – Uebh. das Wort, der Ausdruck, ὀνόμασι διαθέσθαι, dem ἐνθυμηθῆναι entgegengesetzt, Isocr. 4, 9, der auch ὀνόματα = λέξις den ἐνθυμήματα gegenüberstellt.
