sitella, ae, f. (Demin. v. situla), ein Gefäß mit engem Halse und weitem Bauche, zum Losen gebraucht, in der Art, daß man es mit Wasser füllte, dann die hölzernen Lose hineinwarf und darauf das Gefäß schüttelte, so daß wegen des engen Halses allemal nur ein Los obenauf schwamm, das dann herausgenommen wurde, der Lostopf, die Stimmurne, Plaut.
