ατος, τό, (χρίω) later form for χρῖμα (q.v.), found in codd. of X.Smp.2.4, An.4.4.13, Thphr.Od.8,15, Sor.1.4, Gal.6.402, etc.    II anointing, unction, LXXEx.29.7, 35.15, Gal.10.892.    2 in NT of spiritual grace, χρῖσμα ἔχετε ἀπὸ τοῦ ἁγίου 1 Ep.Jo.2.20, cf. 27.    III coating of wall, plaster, D.S.2.9, Luc. Hist.Conscr.62. (The usual accent χρίσμα is wrong, cf. χρῖμα.)
