Das composit. [[ὑποδέω]] kommt überhaupt nur in solchen Stellen mit zweifelhafter Tmesis vor. Wirklich mediale Bdtg ist wohl in der Redensart ποσσὶν ὑπὸ ἐδήσατο πέδιλα; zweifelhaft in dieser Hinsicht ist z. B. Odyss. 2, 430 δησάμενοι ὅπλα ἀνὰ νῆα, wo recht gut das medium Homerisch in der Bdtg des activi stehn kann; sicher ist so, medium Homerisch = activ., wohl Iliad. 18, 553 zu nehmen, ἄλλα (δράγματα) δ' ἀμαλλοδετῆρες ἐν ἐλλεδανοῖσι δέοντο. Meistens ist δέω bei Homer im eigentlichen physischen Sinne gebraucht, wie z. B. auch Iliad. 1, 406 von einer wirklichen Fesselung des Zeus zu verstehn. Zweifelhaft ist Odyss. 8, 852, wo dem Hephästus Poseidon sich zum Bürgen für Ares anbietet, Hephästus jedoch antwortet πῶς ἂν ἐγώ σε δέοιμι μετ' ἀθανάτοισι θεοῖσιν, εἴ κεν [[Ἄρης]] οἴχοιτο [[χρέος]] καὶ δεσμὸν ἀλύξας; hier kann δέοιμι bildlich sowohl wie eigentlich genommen werden, vgl. Apollon. Lex. Hom. p. 57, 30 <b class="b2">δέοιμι</b>· δεσμεύοιμι und die Scholl., in denen berichtet wird, daß Aristarch πῶς ἂν εὐθύνοιμι geschrieben habe. Sicher bildlich ist Iliad. 14, 73 ἡμέτερον δὲ [[μένος]] καὶ χεῖρας ἔδησεν; und, mit einem genitiv., Odyss. 4, 380. 469 ὅς [[τίς]] μ' ἀθανάτων πεδάᾳ καὶ ἔδησε κελεύθου, wer mich an der Fahrt hindert. Mit doppeltem accusat., in eigentl. Bdtg, Odyss. 12, 50 δησάντων σ' ἐν νηὶ θοῇ χεῖράς τε πόδας τε ὀρθὸν ἐν ἱστοπέδῃ, vgl. Apoll. Lex. Hom. p. 58, 13. Das composit. ὑποδέω kommt überhaupt nur in solchen Stellen mit zweifelhafter Tmesis vor. Wirklich mediale Bdtg ist wohl in der Redensart ποσσὶν ὑπὸ ἐδήσατο πέδιλα; zweifelhaft in dieser Hinsicht ist z. B. Odyss. 2, 430 δησάμενοι ὅπλα ἀνὰ νῆα, wo recht gut das medium Homerisch in der Bdtg des activi stehn kann; sicher ist so, medium Homerisch = activ., wohl Iliad. 18, 553 zu nehmen, ἄλλα (δράγματα) δ' ἀμαλλοδετῆρες ἐν ἐλλεδανοῖσι δέοντο. Meistens ist δέω bei Homer im eigentlichen physischen Sinne gebraucht, wie z. B. auch Iliad. 1, 406 von einer wirklichen Fesselung des Zeus zu verstehn. Zweifelhaft ist Odyss. 8, 852, wo dem Hephästus Poseidon sich zum Bürgen für Ares anbietet, Hephästus jedoch antwortet πῶς ἂν ἐγώ σε δέοιμι μετ' ἀθανάτοισι θεοῖσιν, εἴ κεν Ἄρης οἴχοιτο χρέος καὶ δεσμὸν ἀλύξας; hier kann δέοιμι bildlich sowohl wie eigentlich genommen werden, vgl. Apollon. Lex. Hom. p. 57, 30 δέοιμι· δεσμεύοιμι und die Scholl., in denen berichtet wird, daß Aristarch πῶς ἂν εὐθύνοιμι geschrieben habe. Sicher bildlich ist Iliad. 14, 73 ἡμέτερον δὲ μένος καὶ χεῖρας ἔδησεν; und, mit einem genitiv., Odyss. 4, 380. 469 ὅς τίς μ' ἀθανάτων πεδάᾳ καὶ ἔδησε κελεύθου, wer mich an der Fahrt hindert. Mit doppeltem accusat., in eigentl. Bdtg, Odyss. 12, 50 δησάντων σ' ἐν νηὶ θοῇ χεῖράς τε πόδας τε ὀρθὸν ἐν ἱστοπέδῃ, vgl. Apoll. Lex. Hom. p. 58, 13. Das Bindemittel im dativ., Iliad. 21, 50 δῆσε δ' ὀπίσσω χεῖρας ἐυτμήτοισιν ἱμᾶσιν. – In der Bdtg verbinden, eine Wunde, Odyss. 19, 457 ὠτειλὴν Ὀδυσῆος δῆσαν ἐπισταμένως; vgl.
