Scheller in Pok. 208 adduces δριάουσαν θάλλουσαν H. which like δριάεντα χλωρά is based on δρίος, pl. δρία bush, shrubs; the supposed meaning swelling, Schwellender (from where both circumcized man [: penis] as leech) is quite in the air. - Against H. Petersson (Arm. titeṙn crocodile) Kretschmer Glotta 14, 229. Other attempts by von Loewenthal WuS 10, 186 and Sapir Lang. 15, 185. See Bq. and κροκόδιλος; see also Diels l.c. (unclear to me).
