• Etimología: Es prob. que se relacione con ἄναξ, en cuyo caso el sent. antiguo de esta palabra sería ‘velando por’. El que el adv. esté formado sobre un tema ἀνακ- en lugar de ἀνακτ- no plantea dificultad esp. teniendo en cuenta ἀνακός, ἄνακες.
