In that portion of it which had Cyrene for its capital and was thence called Libya Cyrenaica (ἡ πρός Κυρήνην Λιβύη;, Josephus, Antiquities 16,6, 1; ἡ Λιβύηκατά Κυρήνην (which see), Josephus, Antiquities 14,7, 2; 16,6, 1; b. j. 7,11;
