II as substantive Κῷος (sc. βόλος), ὁ, the highest throw with the ἀστράγαλοι, opp. Χῖος, Hsch.; τὰ κῷα are the inner, τὰ χῖα the outer, sides of the hucklebones (ἀστράγαλοι), Arist.HA499b28 (κῶλα and ἰσχία codd.), cf. Cael.292a29 (v.l.).
III Κῷον (sc. ἱμάτιον), τό, a light semi-transparent garment, made at Cos, Hsch.
