Grievous: P. and V. βαρύς, ἐπαχθής, λυπηρός, ἀλγεινός, δυσχερής, ὀχληρός, V. λυπρός, δύσφορος (Xen. also but rare P.), δύσοιστος, ἀχθεινός; see grievous. Heavy with sleep: P. ὑπνώδης. Be heavy with sleep, v.: P. and V. ὑπνώσσειν. Dull: of intellect, P. and V. νωθής, ἀμαθής, ἀφυής, P. ἀναίσθητος; of sound, P. and V. βαρύς. Great, serious: P. and V. μέγας, δεινός.
