P. and V. δῶρον, τό, δωρεά, ἡ, δόσις, ἡ, Ar. and V. δώρημα, τό (also Xen. but rare P.), Ar. and V. γέρας, τό. Free gift: P. and V. δωρεά, ἡ. Bring gifts, v.: Ar. and P. δωροφορεῖν. Receive gifts (bribes): Ar. and P. δωροδοκεῖν. Nor shall he be without a gift at his friends' hands: V. οὐδʼ ἀδώρητος φίλων ἔσται πρὸς ἀνδρῶν (Eur., Hec. 42). Natural capacity: P. and V. δύναμις, ἡ. Have a gift for: P. εὐφυής εἶναι πρός (acc.) or εἰς (acc.).
