Gray: P. φαιός (Plat.), ὄρφνινος (Plat.); see also black. Deep and gloomy: V. μελαμβαθής. Of looks: P. and V. σκυθρωπός, V. στυγνός, δύσφρων, συνωφρυωμένος. Gloomy looks: see also frown.
