ιατρ. στοιχειώδης δερματική βλάβη, χαρακτηριστική της κυδώσεως που έχει χρώμα ανοιχτό ρόδινο ή υπόλευκο, σχήμα στρογγυλό ή πολυκυκλικό, μέγεθος από κεφαλή καρφίτσας έως παλάμης, προεξέχει από το δέρμα, εμφανίζεται και εξαφανίζεται γρήγορα, συνοδεύεται από κνησμό και οφείλεται σε οίδημα της επιδερμίδας και του χορίου του δέρματος και αποτελεί αλλεργική εκδήλωση, μπορεί όμως να παραχθεί και τεχνητά με ενδοδερμική ένεση, όπως γίνεται στις διάφορες ενδοδερμικές δοκιμασίες για ανίχνευση ευαισθησίας προς διάφορες φαρμακευτικές ουσίες.
