Winer s Grammar, § 6,1a.; (Buttmann, 62 (54))), imperative from εἶδον, which see; (from Homer down). In so far as it retains the force of an imperative it is illustrated under εἰδῶ, I:1e. and 3. But in most places in the N. T. it stands out of construction like an interjection, even when ninny are addressed (cf. Buttmann, 70 (61); and especially 139 (121 f)); Latin en, ecce; "See! Behold!
